FBDI gotchas nobody tells you about — share yours

FBDI has more undocumented edge cases than any other Oracle Cloud feature.

Gotcha 1: Date format is locale-sensitive — dates silently flip DD/MM vs MM/DD between regions.

Gotcha 2: "Success" response doesn't mean records imported — it means file was accepted. Poll the ESS job status separately.

Gotcha 3: Files over 50MB are split internally in ways that can break referential integrity between header and line records.

Gotcha 4: FBDI templates change between quarterly updates — always include template version in your filename convention.
